LoL Analysis: 2016 NALCS, CLG vs TIP (Week 4, Day 2)

Counter Logic Gaming and Team Impulse are pretty close in the #NALCS standings but CLG were favored and I think they should beat TIP handily. They had a good showing against Immortals on Saturday I think they have advantages in the solo lanes. They are just such a well-rounded team. For Impulse, they are still trying to find the right way to play around Impact. His stats aren't fantastic, but that's due in large part to the focus opponents have placed on him.

Picks and Bans – CLG did a good job counterpicking. Lulu/Kalista are going to be a problem for Lucian/Bard in the early game and Zed into Corki is also a good counter. However, if TIP get to the midgame with vision and set up the Quinn split push, they will be able to run CLG around a bit.

17:25 – Good coordinated gank from Huhi with Xmithie catching the midlane wave. Procxin tries to counter with a topside gank but CLG are ready for him and take out two for nothing. The early game was all about CLG rotating faster and catching TIP all around the map.

I don’t have much more to say about this game. Darshan and Huhi got fed on Ryze/Zed and give TIP the runaround with their split push. CLG are tied with multiple teams for second but definitely have a good case as the second best team in the NALCS. They were coordinated, followed each other’s dives, and played their comp well. There wasn’t much TIP could do – they simply had no chance in the teamfights. CLG definitely have more things going for them into Week 5 than opponents TSM and NRG.
